Deadly Premonition 2 has been out on the Switch for over a month now, but you may not be aware that there are still things to do and secrets to discover. For example, if you play the game on August 29th, a special event happens. You see, on that day 15 years ago, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in the United States, in Louisiana. Sadly, well over 1,000 people lost their lives.
To pay tribute to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Deadly Premonition 2 has a special event with a different title screen, different music outdoors, and even a special side-mission you can complete to unlock something. The director of the game, Hidetaka Suehiro, said on Twitter that “we give thanks to the many people who allowed us to photograph things, and to those who were kind enough to share with us their painful memories during our research”. Suehiro’s tweets about the matter are down below.
