Japan’s sales data was for the Switch Lite, but France’s data is for the older Nintendo Switch model that has been available worldwide for almost a few years now. According to Le Figaro, a French daily newspaper, the Switch’s lifetime sales in the country are now at 3,300,000. 1,250,000 of that total were sold in 2019 alone, making it the best year for the Switch in France so far. In comparison, it sold 1,100,000 units in 2018. 11% of homes in France now have a Nintendo Switch.

30% of France’s Switch owners are women, a figure that Nintendo expects to grow with the arrival of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There was also some physical software sales data released.
