Ottuk Hunter Pet Taming Discovered! Tied to Iskaara Tuskarr Reputation

Ottuks are an adorable addition to the Rodent Hunter family, but up until now, the way to tame them has been a bit of a mystery. Any attempts to tame Ottuks have been failing with the error message that you don’t know Ottuk Taming. Since Ottuk mounts come from the Iskaara Tuskarr, many have suspected that it would have something to do with that faction.

With players beginning to reach higher Renown rewards, that has now been confirmed. ‘The Chieftain’s Duty’ becomes available after reaching Renown level 11 with the Iskaara Tuskarr. This starts a questline that eventually leads to the quest While the Iron Is Hot – which rewards the Hunter skill Ottuk Taming!

Best of all, the reward is account-wide, so you only need to unlock it once, and not even on a Hunter! Completing this questline once on any character will unlock Ottuk taming for your account.
