Godfall was revealed late last year with a mysterious trailer, but we recently got a better look at how the loot-driven action/RPG plays. But the information about this unique PS5 and PC game doesn’t stop there.
Today Arekkz Gaming published an interview with Richard Heyne, technical producer at Godfall developer Counterplay Games. The 25-minute video has lots of tidbits, but one of the most interesting pieces comes in the first few minutes, where Heyne explains the finite nature of the game.
“There is replayable content. There is end-game content. And there is more for the player to explore and revisit once they have completed their ascent of the Skybreaker Monolith. We don’t consider it a game-as-service. There are no microtransactions in Godfall, but we are planning that there is plenty of content for the player to dig into once Macros is defeated.”
So, Godfall is apparently aiming to be the kind of game that keeps you coming back without charging you extra money to make the endeavor worthwhile – a commitment that is always nice to see. You can check out Godfall for yourself later this year when it releases on PS5 and Epic Games Store.
