Grand Theft Auto Online is a game that has been getting updates for close to a decade at this point. Somehow even stranger than that is many of these updates continue to add new content. One of the more recent updates added the ability for players to gain titles like VIP and CEO that show off just how much of a Highroller in the world of GTA you are. So just how can a player register as a VIP to show off to their friends? Don’t worry, we have the answer.
How to Register as a VIP in GTA Online
Becoming a VIP in the world of Grand Theft Auto Online isn’t going to be easy, and that’s because it isn’t going to be cheap. To register as a VIP, you need to open up your Interaction Menu and go to SecuroServ. From there you will be able to register as a VIP and even name your own organization. However, doing so will cost you a total of $1 million.
After you’ve registered as a VIP, when you go back to the Interaction Menu, you will be able to select the SecuroServ VIP option. Now that you’re a VIP, you’ll be able to hire other players in the game as your bodyguards and live out a life of digital luxury.
There are a few things that you are going to need to keep in mind, though. First is that VIP status only lasts for four real-world hours in Freeplay mode. Thankfully, time spent in Jobs or Heists does not decrease your VIP timer. Also, once your time runs out, you can’t just immediately buy another four hours of VIP. You will have to wait 12 real-world hours before being able to register as a VIP again.
There can also only be six different VIPs in a single game session at a time. If you join a session while you’re on your four hours that already has six VIPs, your VIP status will be frozen until one of the other players leaves or their timer runs out.
