There’s no gold draught going on, so give us anima to overcome this draught in our sanctum

Only 1500? I get the devs do not want to inflate but that’s less then the callings and they take less time to do.

Personally I’d rather have a choice between the two. I mean, I’d always be taking the anima but I guess a handful out there might have enough anima to prefer the gold.

I couldn’t care less about such a measly amount of gold. I wouldn’t go out of my way to do this for the same reason I don’t do gold reward missions.

Guess it was too difficult to give us anima instead…

They’re adding gold in place of a Renown level as a reward for the Acquire 1k Anima weekly quest, for those capped on Renown.

I think you misunderstand. You collect 1,000 anima as part of the quest. The reward used to be 1 level of renown. The renown is being replaced with 1,500 gold when you reach max. There was never an additional anima reward. You have always gotten to keep that 1,000 anima. You get the anima AND the gold instead of the anima and a renown level now.

The weekly quest isn’t worth it for 1500 gold…

You can get more doing a daily calling and selling the trash.

Sometimes I think the Blizzard devs don’t even play their own game…..

How about the quest reward us with 1500 anima instead. Screw the gold.

You do realize you will complete your weekly anyway, with no additional work, while doing your callings?

One less thing to do every week until the renown level is raised, imho. Don’t need the gold particularly, and would rather have bonus anima – still many cosmetic/fluff things that can be purchased.

As others had mentioned for completing I’d prefer a choice – bonus anima (250?) or gold, as it stands, I’ll pick up the quest but won’t be concerned if it gets completed on some characters.

But you are getting anima for them, why would they need anima in the first place if they can give it to you as reward?

You would think some people don’t even play the game. 🙂

My reward is specifically: 1602g 96s…. so about a callings worth.

I know I’ve capped my renown and I should just feel happy I’m all caught up… but I also kinda wish the reward was more… rewarding? Maybe the reward being another 250 anima or something and the reasoning behind it being “looks like you missed some while out collecting!”. It would just feel better than some gold. Just in callings and dailies and selling stuff alone this expansion I’ve probably made close to 300-400k gold. And that’s not including all the gold I spent on my legendary items, pets, mounts (I spent 100k on the covenant mounts)… Feels icky for it to be flat out gold. I’d even prefer a cache that just gives items like a calling that sells for maybe 3k-4k gold instead? Or something like the weekly dungeon quests that lets us choose one of the covenants rep…. but hey I guess it’s still something.

Blizzard for sure don’t want let players to buy all upgrades and items planned for two years in first two months.Their devs made a mistake when they released all possible anima upgrades, all anima sets, items, mounts, pets and so right after the SL launch. Now of course players are frustrated they can’t afford to buy all of it now.

Gold makes sense. Lorewise, why would your covenant ask you to collect anima and reward you anima for it?

The idea is your Covenant had no anima to spare. If they had it all along they wouldn’t ask you to gather it for them.

You will likely get the 1000 anima anyway from doing the callings. This is basically just bonus gold.
